Brief bio for members directory listing (optional)
As an artist, I make collages, write poetry, and combine them in book structures. My "day" job is at Duke University's John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute, where I run events on publishing and help faculty with fellowship and grant proposals. Previously I had a long career in scholarly publishing at Macmillan, Scribner, and Routledge. I have a B.A. from U. C. Berkeley and an M.A. from Columbia University, both in Comparative Literature.
