BOOK AS CATALYST
FROM OBJECT TO IMPACT

An artist’s book is more than an object; it is a catalyst for connection, discovery, and change. Through acts of making, reading, sharing, and engagement, book art can open new avenues of inquiry, build communities, advance research, and foster dialogue across disciplines. Book as Catalyst: From Object to Impact invites participants to explore the transformative potential of the book beyond the page.

This conference invites participants to consider the book as an active framework for connection and transformation. We invite proposals for papers, pre-formed panels, discussions, and demonstrations that examine how book art functions as a catalyst by building community, activating archives, advancing research, supporting teaching and all forms of learning.

The conference will also include a juried CBAA members exhibition, members showcase, vendor fair, tours, workshops, and demonstrations.
