Conference Travel Assistance Grants
Faculty/staff grants:
Purpose:
To support conference attendance for CBAA members who are affiliated with an academic institution but who are ineligible for or have been unable to receive institutional financial support for conference attendance. National travel grants will be awarded at $400 and regional grants will be awarded at $200.
Eligibility:
CBAA member who is currently employed as a faculty or staff member at an academic institution and has been unsuccessful in acquiring institutional support for conference attendance.
Deadline for nominations and materials: September 15, 2011
Procedure:
Eligible applicant emails
marnie.torrey@utah.edu with name, email address, institutional affiliation, and position title. Please note if you are regional or national in relation to the conference location. Regional is considered to be within 400 miles of conference site.
Applicant submits:
· Travel budget: estimated travel/food/lodging and matching funds/sources
· Short statement: desire to attend conference including applicant’s plans for presentation, demonstration, or workshop instruction at conference
· Curriculum vitae
Applicant will be notified of grant status via email on November 4, 2011.
Student grants:
Purpose:
To support conference attendance for student members of CBAA who are who are ineligible for or have been unable to receive institutional financial support for conference attendance. National travel grants will be awarded at $400 and regional grants will be awarded at $200.
Eligibility:
CBAA member who is currently enrolled full-time as a graduate or undergraduate student at an academic institution. Recommendation must come from a faculty/staff affiliated with the student’s institution.
Deadline for nominations and materials: September 15, 2011
Procedure:
Faculty or staff member emails
marnie.torrey@utah.edu with student nominee’s name, email address, and degree being sought.
Applicant submits:
· Travel budget: estimated travel/food/lodging and matching funds/sources
· Short statement: desire to attend conference including status regarding applicant’s plans for presentation, demonstration, or workshop instruction at conference
· Curriculum vitae
Applicant and nominator will be notified of grant status via email on November 4, 2011.
