Brook Hunter-Lombardi


Understairs links word, image and built environment through layers of image, transparency and letterpress, deepening the relationship between books and installation art. The project will be a small edition of artist book objects created at the Logan Elm Press.

BIO

Brook Hunter-Lombardi is an artist/educator from Columbus, Ohio. She received her BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design and her MFA from The Ohio State University. While at OSU she received numerous awards and honors. Her current body of work spans media from printmaking and book arts to installation, video and puppetry. She uses silkworms/moths as biological metaphor, addressing states of psychological relationships. She creates beautiful, yet dilapidated spaces and objects that speak to home as shelter and self-imposed prison.
