&lt;p style="font-size: 14.04px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;CBAA members are invited to nominate candidates or self-nominate by emailing nominations to the Nominating and Membership Committee. &lt;strong&gt;&lt;font color="#FF0000"&gt;Please email Karen Baldner, Vice Chair for Nominations, at kbaldner@iu.edu&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;. Nominees must be willing to serve.&lt;/p&gt;

The Communications Chair plays a vital role in shaping the voice of CBAA. This position oversees the organization’s social media and website updates, and coordinates communications across committees and with the broader community.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Scholarly Articles Editor&lt;/strong&gt; is responsible for making contacts with scholars to solicit appropriate articles for the journal, for accepting the drafts of content, and for working with contributors to bring their work to completion.&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;The &lt;strong&gt;Exhibitions Review Editor&lt;/strong&gt; is responsible for making contacts with critics and scholars to solicit appropriate content for the journal, for assigning exhibitions to specific reviewers, for accepting the drafts of content, and for working with contributors to bring their work to completion.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;p style="font-size: 14.04px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"&gt;These volunteer positions are essential for maintaining Openings as one of the few outlets for scholarly and critical writing on artists’ books. No prior experience in publishing is necessary, but members of the Editorial Board should be organized, attentive to detail, and interested in keeping up with publications, exhibitions, and awards in book arts.&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;The Board of Directors offers advice and direction to the activities of the association; their input and approval may be sought at any time deemed necessary by the president&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;

  &lt;li&gt;Committee involvement is encouraged&amp;nbsp;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Book Arts Tool Map focuses on large-scale and niche machinery such as board shears, guillotines, or fiber beaters for fellow artists with existing knowledge. To best serve users, map data could be filtered via location or type of tool/machinery. Tools are identified on the Map with unique icons linked to an artist’s preferred contact method; the Map also features a restricted zoom scale to protect locational privacy.&lt;/p&gt;
